Training Counsellors

Through collaborations with NIMHANS and Samadhana Counselling Centres, ASK offers training programs for counsellors. As of March 2024, over 600 participants have benefited from this initiative. The ASK-coordinated course spans 13 weeks and is designed for individuals interested in basic or lay counselling. Lay counselling serves as a foundational support like first aid in a hospital emergency room. We function as a vital link between individuals in distress and medical professionals. While addressing issues at our level whenever possible, strict confidentiality is maintained, and referrals to doctors are made for necessary interventions.
